Healthy Moms (Women) Mean Healthy Skin

Becoming a mom is what led me to create BeeZerts.

I literally had the worst skin and lips. I have to say through decades of a busy life traveling as a corporate executive made my skin (and my health) worse. Falling asleep after meetings at midnight, only washing my face in the shower, buying lip color and lip balms that made my chapped lips nearly impossible to resolve. I had the skin of someone twice my age when I was just 45 yrs old.

This is where my daughter came in and made me my own lip formula in 2016 to relieve an especially bad case of chapping. We opened BeeZerts literally five months later offering 22 botanicals to relieve chapped, miserable, sore lips.

In 2026, I can say my lips have not chapped since.

But it came time last summer that I took a deep look at my skin. I had crepe on my arms and neck from rapid weight gain and loss, I was dehydrated, and I was still washing my face in the shower.

We released our first Manuka Honey skin balm that had concentrated amounts of Manuka Honey, Jarrah Honey, and Bee Propolis that eliminated the crepe and wrinkles I had lived with for years. Now at my 58th year of life, I am proud to have been a coformulator with my daughter Katherine of a skin balm so potent, everything on the market dwarfs it. I now know what it means to say....

Healthy Moms (and all Women) Mean Healthy Skin!

Six layers of skin. Most balms reach one. Here's what your skin really needs. 🐝

Mothers spend most of their day taking care of everyone else. The skin usually gets whatever's leftover; i.e. a quick swipe of lotion before bed, a borrowed cream, something that smelled nice on the shelf.

The problem isn't that we aren't trying. It's that most products were never built to do what they promise.

What's actually happening to your skin

Skin has four major layers, surface to deep:

  • Stratum corneum — the dead-cell shield on top
  • Living epidermis — where new cells form and pigment is made
  • Dermis — the collagen layer where firmness, bounce, and elasticity actually live
  • Hypodermis — the deep fat layer

Most lotions or balms moisturize the very top and stop. They may feel nice for an hour, maybe a few hours, but they don't reach the layer where collagen is made, where redness starts, or where your skin's structure is built.

That's why a lifetime of "good" moisturizers can still leave skin thinning and creping with age, sun damage, or rapid weight loss/gain.

We weren't okay with that, so we built differently

The Manuka Honey & Snow Mushroom Advanced Balm with Peptides was designed across six healing systems, each working at a different depth:

  1. Structure base — ceramides and butters seal the surface barrier
  2. Botanical lipids — tamanu, rosehip, batana replenish the skin's natural lipid matrix
  3. Bioactive honey complex — Manuka UMF 15+, Jarrah TA 35+, and propolis support healing in the living epidermis
  4. Triple mushroom complex — snow mushroom, chaga, and reishi calm the reactive zone
  5. Marine and algae complex — astaxanthin and phytoplankton help protect collagen from oxidative damage
  6. Peptide system — maca, rice, and glutathione support collagen and elastin production in the dermis

Six layers of work. One system. A few minutes at the bathroom sink.

You don't need a ten-step routine. You need a balm that does the work of ten products at once, handcrafted in small batches so we never sacrifice potency and freshness, with medical-grade honey and natural-origin actives that reach where your skin actually needs them.
